Born and raised in the rural southwest of Norway, Brooklyn-based vocalist and songwriter Hildegunn Gjedrem is emerging as a multi-faceted musical force. Her new album "Share Your Secret" marks a stark departure from her previously jazz-centric career into a new world of smart, lushly arranged pop.

Named Downbeat Magazine "Best Jazz Vocalist 2005" and "Best Arranger 2008", she was also a finalist in the Montreux Vocal Jazz Competition in 2007. She is also the winner for the coveted G9alt Scholarship of the Arts from the National Bank of Norway. She has performed with Travis Sullivan's Bjorkestra as well with the ground breaking band Snarky Puppy. She was also the vocalist in Grammy nominated ensemble One O'Clock Lab band for several years.

Equally gifted as a writer, performer, studio singer, string arranger, and with an image and fashion sense as powerful as her talent, Hildegunn Gjedrem embodies the very thing the music industry is in desperate need of.
