Terakaft

Terakaft, from the North of Mali, is a desert rock outfit in the same mold as internationally-renowned Tinariwen, and the stark, harsh conditions of the Sahara have permeated its wild and free riffs.

The band was formed in 2001 with a line-up that included two former members of Tinariwen. Terakaft features two rhythm guitars, one keeping the beat effortlessly, the other soaring and sweet, the deep tones of a bass that suggests the delicate but strong steps of a camel, and a heartbeat of percussion that holds everyone together. The grooves they carve are so deep that if you fall in you may never come out again – or want to.

Terakaft’s fourth album Aratan n Azawad (2010) is on the World Village label, and distributed throughout the world by Harmonia Mundi.



Fredda

Fredda 

'L’Ancolie'. A simple and elegant album with a charm that could seem old-fashioned but is actually the charm of a woman with romantic taste. Fredda released two albums. The first one, 'Toutes Mes Aventures', released in 2007 in France, Europe and the US through the German label Le Pop Musik. The  second one, 'Marshmallow Paradise', released in 2009 by Microsillon and in partnership with Les Zéphémères Festival. Fredda is also the singer of the 1960‘s covers band Radiomatic in duet with Pascal Parisot. She won the 3rd “Printemps des Poètes” whose president was Matthieu Chédid.
