Teddy Campbell
grew up in the Gospel music scene of Chicago, Illinois where he played in church for the first time at the age of four, and hasn't looked back since.

Relocating to California almost twelve years ago, Campbell, now 36, has become one of the hardest-working drummers in the business. His resume is so impressive that even he sometimes has a hard time believing how truly blessed he's been.

Teddy has served as musical director and drummer for pop stars Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera & 98 Degrees (while at the peak of their careers). A few of his other musical director credits include Deborah Cox, Kelly Price, Mary Mary, and Ann Nesby (formally of Sounds Of Blackness). Teddy has also recorded with Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Rod Stewart, Al Jarreau, George Duke, Kirk Whalum, Kelly Clarkson and many others.

No stranger to life on the road, Teddy has toured with Stevie Wonder, The Backstreet Boys, George Benson, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, LSG (Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill), Queen Latifah, and Bette Midler.

For 6 years drummer extraordinaire Teddy Campbell was seen by millions on the FOX smash hit show American Idol. He was a member of the live house band that played a pivotal role in making Idol one of the most entertaining and most watched programs in TV history.

Teddy Campbell is currently the drummer for one of the most respected late night talk shows on television, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The Teddy Campbell Band is the new sound of retrospect. Established in late 2011, the band has already headlined at the World Famous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles and, most recently, opened up for the incomparable James Ingram. In a world where “sound alike” is all so common, these guys are definitely the uncommon denominator. Their new soul/rock music is a refreshing, agreeable blend of sonic sounds reminiscent of Ray Charles, The Beatles & The Rolling Stones.

The bands frontman, Teddy Campbell (The Tonight Show, American Idol, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder, Britney Spears, Herbie Hancock), is no stranger to the music scene. Having worked with some of the worlds biggest stars over the past two decades as a drummer and musical director, he knows what it takes to claim the stage. If Steven Tyler and Aretha Franklin had a son, his name would be Teddy Campbell. His smooth, raspy, soulful voice paired with his pristine, impeccably timed high-hat, the tick-tock of his snare, the harmonic crashing of his cymbals and the rhythmic boom of his bass drum is spellbinding. He will charm you and leave you hypnotized. His voice is the life and the pulse of his drum is the heartbeat of this bands music. The brazen horns, sweet-sounding keys, unique bass, expressive guitar, foot-tapping percussion & tuneful backing vocals all compliment Teddy faultlessly to make for a rapturous experience.

The Teddy Campbell Band is a musical masterpiece. Music to your ears and to your eyes. These gentlemen will tug at the strings of your heart and take you to a place that is other-worldly. Their musical genius will evoke memories of the good old days and establish new memories for your tomorrows. They remind us that music is and always has been the centerpiece of life and that it truly does make the world go round. Brave, rare, complex but simple and unapologetically amazing, the bar has been set above the stars by The Teddy Campbell Band and they don’t plan on coming down anytime soon. Next stop...The Moon!
