Anna Winthrop and Kirin McElwain

 (8:00PM)

‘Intense, soaring singer/pianist Anna Winthrop defies categorization’ with her ‘individualistic, windswept, cinematic jazz-inflected art rock’. –New York Music Daily
Anna has performed throughout the United States and Europe as an actress, singer and dancer, beginning her career at the tender age of 12.  She studied classical voice at the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory before making a life for herself in the New York theater scene, and most recently has turned to composition as an exploration of her eclectic musical background in the jazz, classical, music theater and pop worlds.  She is prized for her versatility, deep lyricism and storytelling abilities, and for creating a unique sound within the songwriter world.  In 2014 Anna formed a collaboration with the cellist Kirin McElwain, an equally versatile musician who hails from the classical world but has performed with Boyz ll Men, John Vanderslice, The Fleeting Ends, visual artist Anamaya Farthing-Kohl and pianist Judith Gordon.

Broke In Stereo  (11PM)

Broke in Stereo is a Brooklyn based alternative rock band. California born and raised guitarist, songwriter, frontman and founding member of Broke in Stereo, Cabell Harris has been a musician as far back as he can remember. Writing and composing has also been present since his early adolescence. From growing up in Sonoma County California, a few years in Boston, a walk-about through South America, and a short time in San Diego and LA. Broke In Stereo was founded in Brooklyn, NY after years of travel, starving artist jobs, and soul searching.

A prolific writer and composer, Cabell filled notebook after notebook during his travels. Living in Argentina, traveling to Uruguay and Brazil, Chile and Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Panama to Costa Rica. His journey of hitch hiking, crossing boarders in canoes, street fights, camping, being thrown out of bars and casinos, and into Colombian jails; has had a profound impact on Cabell's writings.
