N.E.D. Live in Concert and Official CD Release Party
Proceeds to benefit Women's Cancer Awareness

No Evidence of Disease (N.E.D.) is a unique rock band made up of six gynecologic cancer surgeons from across the country - who are taking the healing arts to an entirely different level. They spend their days helping women battle cancer. But in March 2008, these doctors had an “out-of-the-box” opportunity to help their patients. They were challenged to put down their scalpels, pick up their instruments, and use a different talent to help fight gynecologic cancers.

What was created from this challenge was a rock band with a purpose. The name of the band itself, No Evidence of Disease, represented the hope that every gynecologic oncologist has for patients - the end of the patient’s treatment is the end of their cancer.  N.E.D. is dedicated to using music to provide hope, strength, and comfort to those women who are battling cancer. But it does not stop there. The mission of N.E.D. is to raise awareness about gynecologic cancers through their original music.

To this end, N.E.D. debuted their first self-titled CD on Sept 9, 2009.  It has received praise from music critics: “…one can both support their cause
and their music … this EP never feels like the quality of the music is taking a back seat to the importance of the cause. N.E.D.'s music is consistently pleasing - All Music Guide).  The band has been featured in The Washington Post, The Oregonian, and local TV stations in Chapel Hill/Raleigh, Portland, and New York City.  Their cause has been highlighted on the Lifetime channel and thinkMTV.com.

Due to the success of No Evidence of Disease and a strong backing of fans and cancer survivors, the band is back at it again recording their first full-length CD.  It promises to expand their outreach through inspired and energetic music.

Award-winning Spark Media is putting together a full-length documentary feature that will be released in conjunction with the CD in 2011.  They will be filming the concert at theAladdin to feature in the film.  So, come on out and prepare to rock for a cause with the Rock Docs – N.E.D.!
