After last year's successful concert at Drom, Turkish singer-songwriter Gulsen returns back to North America for a 5-date tour with the NY Gypsy All-Stars. She will sing from her hits and Turkish favorite Gypsy tunes, while the All-Stars perform songs from their debut album, “Romantech.”

Gulsen
Turkish pop star Gülşen is a graduate of the Classical Turkish Music Department at the prestigious Istanbul Technical University. Her first album, "Be Adam" which was released in 1995, made Gülşen a favorite among pop fans and her second album, "Erkeksen" came three years after in 1998 to boost her profile even higher. Following another interval of three years, the album "Şimdi" was released in 2001. The 2006 album "Yurtta aşk, Sihanda Aşk," a changing of Atatürk's
famous phrase, "Peace in the country, peace in the world" was released in June 2006. 2010 brought the release of Gülşen's seventh album called "Önsöz," on which famed producer Ozan Çolakoğlu served as music director, arranger and co-composer.

NY Gypsy All-Stars
Masters of contemporary Balkan music, NY Gypsy All-Stars is a musical chemistry experiment with explosive staying power. Living up to their name in every way, the NYGA blend traditional Gypsy and Turkish melodies with a scorching jazz and funk backbone, creating a unique sound that satisfies the brain and soul. The band exemplifies New York in the most eclectic sense possible, with members hailing from Macedonia, Greece, Turkey and Brooklyn.
