The Post was born in a dark basement on Rivington Street... and the rest is historical fiction. They are the first hyperanalytical, ultrarevisionist rock band of the modern era. One might even call them Postmodern. Made of technology and gumption, The Post explores diverse topics such as frogs, quantitative easing, and Memphis, all within the framework of progressive-psychedelic-folk-blues-pop rock.

DJ Shinobi started mixing and scratching when he was just a sophomore in high school. Heavily influenced by early 90s Hip-Hop, he manned the turntables as his friends rocked rhymes at various house parties in his hometown of Pasadena, California. He then spent four years in San Diego, where he developed a more eclectic mix of Funk, Soul, R&B, Disco, Indie, and Pop. He has since moved to NYC where you can catch him spinning funky sets at various bars and private parties. You can also find him at his monthly residency at Lowlands Bar in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Alongside DJ Treetop and Mr. Hoppz, he is a founding member of the Hip-Hop collective known as The Total Mind, comprised of emcees, producers, and DJs.

Halfro formed in Philadelphia in 2009 originally under the name “Chocolate Milk”. Their sound blends classic, gritty, hip-hop rhythms with floating melodies, and honest lyrics. Writing and performing their songs with real instruments, Halfro is one just a few true bands in hip-hop today. The group is made up of vocalist MUTT (David Patrick), keyboardist/producer Andrew Aulenbach, drummer Justin Davis, and bass player Luke Reitz. From the start they have been recording original music and making rounds at local live venues. Select performances include opening for Wale and Chiddy Bang at the Liacouras Center (Philadelphia Concert venue), as well as playing on bills with Nikki Jean, Dice Raw, Nappy Roots, Gangstagrass, Shinobi Ninja, Mic Stewart and a list of others. Halfro continues to push the boundaries of music through their exploration of sound, and strives to create hardworking, humble hip-hop.
