MOA EP Release Party

MOA is the alter ego of New York-based saxophonist turned electronic music producer Max Wild. Launching his new live electronic project in 2014, MOA effortlessly merges electronic and acoustic sounds, drawing from a rich sonic palette that ranges from electropop, dubstep, jazz, and African sounds. For the last year MOA has been in the studio with fellow-producer Obed Calvaire, crafting his first full-length electronic album, to be released as three EPs with a final album launch expected in the summer of 2014. Tonight marks the release of MOA’s first EP: “My Name Is MOA”. Performing his music live for the first time, MOA will be joined by partner in crime Matias Quarleri, to put on a show that is set to impress.

As a guitarist,he has played numerous guest appearances with the Skatalites including a 6 week tour of Europe which included a performance at the Sziget Festival (Budapest), all before the age of 18. A man of many hats, Devon also works as an Instructor at Dubspot where he teaches both production and DJing. In 2012, Devon and a group of friend co-founded RVDIOVCTIVE, a Brooklyn based, multi-media artist collective that holds monthly parties and promote new and exciting underground artists. Equipped with a vast knowledge of music and appreciation for the basic elements of rhythm and melody, Devon mixes up diverse musical styles from house and disco to reggae, funk and hip hop.

Dysrupt has his feet planted in the booming scene of New York City, but has been making strides across the US playing several major festivals and venues from Winter Music Conference to Midwest raves to Brooklyn warehouses.

The now in-demand sound of Dysrupt has landed the producer opportunities to produce for Hip-Hop legend Grandmaster Flash and to support a range of artists on tour; from the likes of Joker, Doctor P, Zomboy, Liquid Stranger, Marty Party, Ill Gates and more.
