Born on our day of independence, on the island of Trinidad, Mansingh came into this world with a pur-pose inherent in his name. He always knew he had something to share and through his God-given talent of songs, he uses his gift as vehicle to take you on a journey. With a a bit of rock and a bit of soul, his message is inviting and thought provoking. An urban alternative artist, changing the face of the urban category as we know it, Mansingh is a true artist in his purest form. He BLAKROCKSTAR........

Growing up, it was no secret that Mansingh was gifted. A quiet child raised in a warm matriarchal  Caribbean environment, Mansingh started singing and dancing at the early age of seven.  It wasn't until he turned 13 that he realized that music was his life-- his ministry. Mansingh's musical voyage began in Trinidad with Youth Pulse Edutainment Academy,  where founder and ASCAP award winner Sterling Gittens helped him bring his singing abilities to life. Gittens was impressed enough to include him in the launch of Youth Pulse's first album, Heaven is waiting.  He traveled to islands like St.Lucia and Marinique dazzling local audiences, but he still wanted to take his music to the next lebel. with the support of his friends and family, he decided to pursue his passion for music. Armed with just $119, he took a leap of faith at the turn of the millennium and made his way to the Big Apple.

Since his arrival to NYC, he has been keeping busy, sparking the interest of many  and   has   even raised the eyebrows of various open mice and showcases including the renowned Black Lily. Committed to constantly giving of himself, Mansingh finds time to volunteer at a local church  where he directs the youth choir. He also offers his time as a vocal coach to fellow emerging wrists. Mansingh has even managed to get in the studio with a few seasoned producers, including Fanatic (GRAMMY AWARD WINNER) PRODUCER, whose collaborations include great names like Beyonce Knowles, Raphael Saadiq, and amel Larriex, just to list a few. While the music industry has proven to be challenging, mansingh remains undeterred to his efforts.

Mansingh is paving the way to making his dreams manifest rocking crowds at the key spots all over NYC. He has co-headlined a benefit concert with hip-hop great, Talib Kweli at NYC's own Irving Plaza where he shared his music with a thousand-plus crowd. He's even play din Times Square for the Congress of Racial Equality's annual out-door expo where crowds easily exceeded half a million. Mansingh has also hit venues like CBGB's C-Nte, Five Spot, SOB's, Southpaw whose promoter Doug DeFalco praised, "Young, theatrical  rock-soul-funk-pop singer Mansingh has a terrific voice, a slammin' band and some catchy songs that crossover that difficult and ridiculously outdated line of separation between black and white and Rock and R&B.
His South Paw performance was one of the most welcome surprises.

After hearing songs like Wilderness, Jealousy and Small Town Boy (BlakRockStar), you can't help but to step into his world as soon as his voice hits your ear drum. His captivating stage presence brings into life in a way that is simply unreal.  It's a reverie that fuses everything into an inspiring melange of all that proceeded him, all that he is and all that lies before him. An old soul with a new sound, he gives you a blend of true soul music from his very core. A blend of Rock, Soul, Funk and Jazz, you wouldn't quite know how to compare him to and so you won't. He is mansingh, a man with a sound this is quite simply--MUSIC.

Opening your third eye, seeing things as they really are and not how you wish them to be, is the power of his musical message. Truth, destiny, authenticity personified, the mystifying  music  rapture this Mansingh...
