It is rare that two acclaimed solo artists, each just reaching their creative prime, come together to create something completely new. Nevertheless, two of NYC’s most innovative MCs, billy woods and Elucid, have joined forces as Armand Hammer.

Although Elucid and woods appeared on each other’s solo albums in 2013, the roots of their collaboration goes back several years. After they both appeared on the same compilation in 2011, woods sought Elucid out for a guest verse on his long-awaited solo History Will Absolve Me. “I was really impressed by Elucid’s music but once we started working together I realized I was dealing with a rare talent,” woods explains. “It’s a real challenge not to be outshined on tracks with him, but that is something that I welcome as an artist. Steel sharpens steel.”

As an emcee, Nasa is inspired by the words of the famed screenwriter & playwright, Rod Serling.  Serling, in reply to a question about how he'd like to be remembered 100 years from now, replied saying simply as a "writer".  Nasa's goal is to create songs that are well-written and expertly structured, usually focusing on defining moments in his life as well as current events around the world.  While earlier work was released with his former group, The Presence, and as a solo artist under the name Adam Warlock, all current and future releases will be done so as Uncommon Nasa (the name thousands on social media have come to know him by).  Ultimately, Uncommon Nasa’s music is a story of self.

After 10 years of scene-building in Portland,Maine as an mc and banner-guard for Milled Pavement Records, 5 years of touring throughout 5 countries (most recently France, Germany, and Switzerland this past April ’12 with Milled Pavement CEO Moshe), over 700 performances, 2 critically acclaimed albums, 3 mixtapes, 2 ep’s, 1 7″ single, countless featured appearances, and performing live with a venerable who’s-who of independent hip-hop, BRZOWSKI is throwing down the gauntlet with all the desperation of a man on the edge.  BRZOWSKI’s grueling pace of hard-work and hard-living lends credence the axiom that to achieve any modicum of notoriety, you must suffer for your art.

Reservoir Sound Womb is an alternative agent.  Spearheaded by founder A.M. Breakups in the early 2000′s, Reservoir Sound acts as a vehicle for expression, a uniting of like-minded architects.  Each member of the Brooklyn-based artist collective is a sovereign body, a driving force in and of itself, but as a whole, Reservoir Sound Womb is a collection of artists who embody a sonic, progressive, realistic, and human approach to art, through a blending of synthetic and organic music.
