Greencard  Wedding (7PM)

Greencard Wedding (Jody Christopherson and Ryan McCurdy) is an American&Irish indie-folk-rock duo that originated in Crown Heights Brooklyn and continues to work cross continent.
Their music is a theatrical combination of intense acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies, initially written late at night in their Crown Heights Brooklyn living room on a red velvet couch fueled by diet coke and Whiskey. Since Dec. 2012 the band has been separated by visa regulations but has continued to make music over Skype, whatsapp, email and occasionally in person. Greencard Wedding's LP's Three Hours in May (recorded in 3 Hours May 2013) can be purchased on bandcamp and their LP Forced Co-Habitation can be found on Itunes.
Jody and Ryan are both actors as well as musicians. Currently, Greencard Wedding is touring 2014 productions of their transmedia musical The Skype Show or See You in August which premiered in FringeNYC, August 2013. Their LP with songs from the Skype Show will be released in summer of 2014.
Recent concert venues include: DROM, Choga, Fat Baby NYC, Ella Lounge, INTAR Roots and New Music Festival, Dixon Place, The LES Music Festival, The Parkside Lounge, Bowery Poetry Club, The Back Porch, Romeo and Juilet Drink the Young Wine, the campaign rap "If We All Love America" for the Eisenhower Presidential Library and "Daisy in the Sun" and for the film "LIKE THIS" winner of the 2012 Eqxusite Corpse Film Festival in NYC.
Many Greencard Wedding shows include a homemade set list t-shirt worn by one lucky audience member, bubbles, bouqet tossing and cake baked by the band. Whiskey infused Irish wedding cake is their favorite.

Evan Russell Saffer (8PM)

ERS aka Evan Russell Saffer on lead vocals pairing with M.Laptop.K aka DJ Martin Kestner on beats/programming/triggerfinger. Their unique pairing began in 2013 collaborating at the tail end of the Opponent (Uberstrom) meshing together pop vocals, dubstep and rock guitars. Now only a two piece live and in the studio, they are melting together all brands of electronic sounds from hip hop to house, dub and dance with Saffer’s melodic delivery. The newest material has yet to see a release (for fans of Skrillex, She Wants Revenge, Depeche Mode, NIN, Underworld) The duo (ERS) are performing live throughout the northeast everywhere from underground dance clubs to main stage festival events, road testing material, logging studio time and shooting videos for their next effort (tentative release Fall 2014)

The Opponent (out now via Uberstrom) is Skrillex meets Garbage with a splash of Queen -the sophomore release from Brooklyn recording artist Evan Russell Saffer (aka ERS) follow up to 2010’s rock opera Neon Gas (CDBaby/Naysayer Entertainment).  The Opponent fuses high voltage rock, integrating electronics and dance beats – 5 tracks of massive dub electro dance metal.  Saffer’s signature melodic songwriting, monstrous hooks and searing vocal work (including spoken word) are all there along with rave-esque dance beats and mesmerizing guitar work.  Licensed to Uberstrom – a Swedish imprint from dance label Substream, the Opponent is available worldwide.

Evan: “I’ve always wanted to make this type of record, infusing all that I love about dance along with melodic hooks and that rock edge that I’ve done for years.  We took cues from Dubstep, House, Hard Rock and Metal and came up with this massive brainchild that we’re all loving. It’s been fun working with Martin Kestner (DJ/Sequencing) is a kindred spirit in his passion for great music and an enormous talent.  This album is about facing myself, my ego and inner demons – Over this past year I have been heavily influenced by the teachings of Kabbalah along with the writings of Eckhart Tolle which turned me onto this type of mental awareness – and my mind is not a safe place to be..  The music along with the album artwork aims to reflect that both the demon and the deity are within and they are both YOU!  Just a different shade of the same person and you choose who you want to be.  It sounds heavy and there are definitely some dark moments, but the overall vibe of this release is very uplifting, sonically massive, and very liberating.” ~ERS
