CEG Presents
Tiger Speak, KROM, Oliver Monaco Group

Tiger Speak was brought together from a collection of musicians with roots in straight ahead and modern jazz, with one foot in the world of J Dilla, and the DNA of neo-soul and old-school R&B all with a common love for Hip-Hop. This manifests itself in a raw, unique, visceral experience for the listener and concertgoer, spear-headed by the virtuosic lyricism of MC/trumpeter Ryan Easter.

Tiger Speak recently performed with singer/recording artist/producer Iman Omari (Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar) as well as recording artist Moruf (Jesse Boykins III, MeLo-X). Tiger Speak was also featured in XXL magazine's 'The Break' and was one of’s top 20 non-jazz albums of 2012.

With their fresh, genre-crossing sound, KROM is making a name for themselves as an up-and-coming force in New York’s music scene. Their first album, Youngblood (ZOHO Records) reached number 14 on the CMJ radio charts and was name the Best Debut Album Of The Year by Nippertown Magazine.  Their latest album, (self-titled) has also been widely praised by critics, and has led KROM to be described as "the best trio in North America, hands down," by Recently, they have opened for Rusted Root at Huntington's Paramount Theater, and headlined at SubCulture's Pianofest.  Members of KROM have also performed with musicians such as DJ Logic, Feist, and Andrew Bird.

Oliver Monaco Group

Oliver Monaco Group formed in 2010 at Boston’s historic Wally’s Jazz Cafe, where they showcased their deep respect for the jazz tradition. There they focused on performing originals and covering their contemporary heroes like Brian Blade Fellowship, Snarky Puppy and Kneebody.

The group’s sound is comprised of Matt Hull on trumpet, Travis Bliss on tenor saxophone, Daniel Pugh on piano/keyboard, Daniel Raney on electric/acoustic bass, Max Holmberg on drums/percussion and Oliver Monaco on guitar and vocals. Oliver Monaco Group reaches from the ends of traditional and contemporary jazz, indie rock and funk with their debut album, OMG, released October 18th.
