Share the Spotlight

Share The Spotlight inc. is a free summer music program in partnership with School of Rock NYC aimed at bringing the performance experience to passionate young musicians from underrepresented backgrounds. Students age 10-18 from public and charter partner schools across the city have a great time rehearsing in bands twice a weekend throughout the summer to prepare for a final concert at a marquee NYC venue. The program strives to reach participants who would not otherwise have the resources to take part in a music program and help them to develop confidence and a lifelong passion for music.

Once upon a time, we held a seance and the ghost of Kurt Cobain appeared to us.  He posed a question which summarized all of human knowledge at once:  "Soup, or moon?"  So we punched him in the face and took both.  Supermoon is influenced by Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and the Black Crowes with a touch of blues and psychedelia--grunge as seen through a kaleidoscope.  We keep it real and we always put cheese balls in our whiskey.
Querida Baker: (formerly the Fuzzhorns)

Rising out of the ashes of another band, Rob Silverman-Ascher, Abby Meyer, Tore Levander and Eli Goldwag aim to please with their delectable mixture of indie-folk-funk-punk.

Oblivión is a heavy metal band located in Queens, New York, looking to branch out to several genres of metal to those who are willing to listen.

SoR House Band:

The Many:
A band with a big rock'n'roll feel from influences both classical and modern, Daniel Lerner, Alex Koutavas, Orion Karagianns, and Pete Coletti are The Many, and look forward to putting music in your ears.

Arson Daily: (The VCR's):
The VCR's are a "band" from New Pork Shitty.  We like loitering in abandoned hospitals stealing babies from not abandoned hospitals.  We aren't homeless, but we live on the street anyway. Don't listen to us, we're too punk stock for your family.  Peace
