The Scranton Gangster. The Mythical Rapping White Boy from Brooklyn. The Global Citizen.

This is BRBRCK.
Mike Berberich (aka BRBRCK) is a genre-bending hip hop songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York, where he writes and produces all of his own music. His catalogue spans an eclectic range of sounds, from 80s synthpop to roadhouse blues to progressive jazz. The narratives that BRBRCK crafts are equally diverse, from old school jams about stealing rhymes to commentary on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, written during his time spent in the West Bank and Jordan. His live shows are an explosion of energy, with a full band backing the MC as he weaves his witty sense of humor through a nonstop barrage of spitfire wordplay and brass-knuckle punchlines. In 2008, BRBRCK released "Scranton Gangster," his debut album, in part because of the extensive radio play his single "Scranton Gangster" received on Top 40 regional radio stations in his home state of Pennsylvania. Since then, he has penned over 200 songs and has collaborated with a diverse group of artists, including accomplished jazz bassist Felix Pastorius, Anna Morsett of the band "Yet Cut Breath," and dozens of local Brooklyn MCs and producers. BRBRCK is currently finishing production on his sophomore album, "Pardon the Languish," and plans to tour extensively in the US and abroad.

Melissa Czarnik (Zarnik)

Melissa Czarnik (Zarnik) is a songwriter, poet and emcee that fuses elements of jazz, poetry and hip hop into an eclectic sound that has earned her recognition from NPR, Bitch Magazine, and Bust Magazine among others. A recent transplant to Brooklyn, she has already garnered the title of one of NYC's #1 Emerging Artists from the Deli Magazine NYC.

Czarnik performs live with pianist Eric Mire and percussionist Meredith Butterworth. Her live show has captivated audiences from as far as France to New York, California to Brussels. Her most recent album, Non Merci (Hyperdrive Motivator Productions, 2012), was written and recorded at an artist residency in the French countryside, 90 miles southeast of Paris. An ultimately personal and reflective album, "It's as surprising a pairing as it is effective…Hard-hitting and smooth at once," says Mike Levine (Deli Magazine). Czarnik's DIY attitude and lovingly karmic heart can be heard and felt on Non Merci and similarly on her first two albums, Strawberry Cadillac (2008) and Raspberry Jesus (2010), self released by the DIY artist on her own label, Hyperdrive Motivator Productions. To hear Czarnik's recordings and then to see her live is like putting air to fire, fuel to the already powerful emotion that lies within her lyrics and brings them to life.
You can find Czarnik playing around New York City. She is currently working on her fourth studio album and writing a libretto for an opera with composer Eric Joseph Meyer.

E.M.S. (En Masse Sodality)

Hip-Hop in the 21st Century has painted vivid pictures for fans, some well received and some tossed away. Although listeners and tastemakers alike have different preferences within it, a common paradox of "Authenticity Versus Art" has always been apparent. The E.M.S. Crew has sought to transform this paradox into its conversion "Real Playas Never Fold", to bring together the best of both worlds.

The E.M.S. is comprised of PSA (Primetime Silver Age) (born Saladin McClain, September 29, 1989), MAI (born Shamai Santiago, November 5, 1988), and LG Cool (born Jerel Guilford, January 19, 1989). With a bond that began in elementary school in 1999, the three had a connection that solidified the root of the "Band of Brothers".

It was in the summer of 2008, their sophomore year of college that their bond led to a discovery of a musical talent. It began with PSA & MAI producing music together as a unit, but they then soon realized that instead of just producing fresh sounds they wanted to rap on them as well. They reached out to LG, & it was then that they birthed the (E.M.S.), the acronym for En Masse Sodality which means "Band Of Brothers”, and also defined as "not comparable" .

The rest of the summer of 2008, they created and developed their sound and debuted at Brown University on November of 2008 performing in front of 1,000 people gaining an over-whelming response. The group went on to display their music on MySpace and other musical websites over the next years, and began laying the groundwork for a solid fan base.

While trying to multi-task college, collegiate sports, occupations, and music, the group took time off to create a great body of work for listeners. During that time the group perfected their sound while also appearing and performing at other colleges in the tri-state area and prestigious venues including The Knitting Factory opening up for Slum Village on July 21st, 2011 and opening up for Phife Dawg at B.B King Blues Club & Grill on February 23rd, 2012.

The group is set on releasing new material on their debut project A.O.D. Vol. 1 that features production from the group members MAI & PSA, as well as Djay Cas & B Free.

The project has been recorded, mixed and mastered by world renowned producer/engineer Brian Cid (Cid D Kid), and is a project that breaks away from the accepted sounds of society and today’s music.

Their project is titled A.O.D. Vol.1 & is a body of work that embodies their journey in life over the last few years.

A.O.D. Vol.1 was made to prove that human emotions can excel when preserved and presented through, integrity, passion, and belief. It is more than a statement, in fact it is a decree that E.M.S. will be here forever.

E.M.S. takes pride in their artistry of music and being able to create vocal images that will impact those who will receive it. "We only want to keep alive the natural vibe that has been laid out by the greats before us, only in our natural essence, and with that, help usher this next phase of music."

E.M.S. is engulfed in originality. “WE HERE!” and there is No Correlation.
