Count To Ten

Pop/Punk Band Count To Ten (Alex DeSalvo, Dan Wolf, Jon Zaitz, John Gallo and Dan Koshulsky) are beginning to turn heads with the launch of their new debut EP. The friends “banded” together in the wake tragedy after their near and dear friend, Brittany Vega, was killed crossing the street in the boys’ hometown. In an attempt to ease their pain and fill the empty void left in the hearts of Brittany’s friends, family, and community, Alex, Dan, and Jon began to spend a great deal of time together. Out of the turmoil emerged Count To Ten.

What began as a very informal and tumultuous beginning quickly became much more serious when Alex’s father, record producer/songwriter, Russ DeSalvo (Carlos Santana, Celine Dion) heard the group playing together and asked them to record a cover song at his studio. It was at this point that Russ started to work with Count To Ten as an actualized, solidified band. Immediately impressed by their mature writing style, Russ realized their potential. “I’ve worked with a lot of very young artists, but I hadn’t seen that level of insight into their own direction and musical vision in any of the artists that preceded them,” says DeSalvo. “I found it compelling that they were writing on the level that they were.” Indeed, it is difficult to believe that the band members range from 16-19-years-old.

Shortly thereafter, the band added their Bassist (john Gallo) and Drummer (Dan Koshulsky) to form a well rounded band that has begun to create a buzz on the local Long island scene.

Count To Ten has aligned with Airgo Music and is in the process of launching a viral marketing campaign around Count To Ten’s EP,
As for the boys, their goals are simple.“We want our music to help people and for it to evolve and grow while our fans take the journey with us.”
