to benefit Little Kids Rock

is back!  Get a jump on your holiday celebration, with live music by Future Now, Fifth of Bourbon  live karaoke, and other great bands on Wednesday December 9th.  Doors open at 6pm at DROM NYC.  All proceeds from the evening benefit Little Kids Rock, so bring a crowd and rock out with us.

was spawned shortly after Scott (gtr) and Jay (bass), two life long friends, drove out to Detroit to pick up a set of custom-made drums from Dennis Thompson, one of two surviving members of the notorious and seminal rock band the MC5. When they got back to NJ they thought “OK now what???” Shortly after, Future/Now became a band along with other like-minded and talented brothers and sisters of he musical flesh. The band’s mission started out to pay homage to an important band and has evolved to pay homage to a key musical genre in our rock history. The members of Future/Now are continually amazed at how prescient the lyrics of the MC5 songs were and how applicable they are today. The climate of late 60’s Detroit was not all that different than our current times... But the real focus of Future/Now is the music - the song writing, understated sophistication and spirited musicianship that can be found throughout the many hidden gems in the MC5 catalogue.
Please help keep music education in our schools and donate to Little Kids Rock here.  Your donation of $25 or more will ensure you get free admission to this event and fund a great musical experience for at least one student this upcoming year in the NY area!
