Jackie Paladino

Born in New York and raised in central New Jersey, Jackie Paladino is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter whose voice has been compared to the likes of Corinne Bailey Rae, Billie Holiday, and Adele. She was introduced to the piano at the age of six, and developed her understanding of storytelling and performance through off-Broadway theatre, dance competitions, and musical vocational school. It wasn’t until Jackie returned to her birth state to attend the music theatre program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts that she discovered her true calling. “When everyone else was memorizing lines to songs and stories, I was writing my own stories through song, belting out the tunes of Ella Fitzgerald, Duffy, and Alicia Keys along the way.” Always an avid reader of poetry, she found herself delving deeply into the works of Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, entranced by the precision and mystery of their word choice. As an artist, Ms. Paladino seeks to combine this sense of lyric perfectionism and her urgency to “mold the ugly into something beautiful” along with the power and soul of her favorite songstresses. She’s scheduled to release her single “You Gotta Be” this January and her debut EP shortly after.

Cas Weinbren

His genius recognized at a young age; Weinbren was enrolled in New York City’s elite Professional Children’s School where his classmates included Mischa Barton, Scarlett Johansson and Pong Pong Gong. At 15 Weinbren composed a classical piece inspired by 9/11 that was featured for review in The New York Times. By 18 he received a full scholarship to SUNY Purchase (White Plains NY). Though quickly recognized as the “crown jewel” of the University’s prestigious Jazz Conservatory he exited the program after his sophomore year. Weinbren’s versatility overwhelming him he switched majors to Studio Composition. Studying with Conservatory Director Jim Mcelwain (teacher of Regina Spektor and Moby) Weinbren began composing hip-hop, jazz, reggae, alternative, classical, and pop. Cas is now learning under the tutelage of hip-hop super producer Ty Fyffe. He has contributed bass and synth lines on multiple records produced by Fyffe and is also currently collaborating on beats for Big K.R.I.T. with producer/DJ Statik Selektah.

The Indie folk solo project of Cali born New Yorker-by way of Tel Aviv, Maayan, has been moving crowds in the New York City area and is bound to make waves as it continues to grow. Maayan sings and plays the acoustic guitar and ukulele and is accompanied by a percussionist and upright bass player, often adding additional members. Her heartfelt songs tell of relationships, dreams and self empowerment. Listeners describe the performance to be authentic and uplifting, drawing comparisons to Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine, Joan Baez and Janis Joplin.

Born in San Francisco to an American-Israeli couple who later relocated to Israel, Maayan spent her teenage years in Tel Aviv before returning to the US in pursuit of a career in music and performance. In 2013 Maayan founded Oppenheim Music Inc, and released her EP In Too Deep as well as full length album Science Fiction in 2014. Since her start in music she has explored her creativity, shifting genres from Rock to Pop/R&B/Hip Hop, Indie/EDM, World/Soul and Jazz. She began as a self taught producer, recording and programing the majority of her work and later studied electronic music production and sound design at Dubspot New York, further developing her unique sound. As a performer and vocalist Maayan is an avid believer in constant practice and works with mentor and vocal instructor Craig Derry on an ongoing basis (known for training artists Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Jay Sean). New project set to launch in summer 2016.
