NY Hot Jazz Fest Presents

10:00 pm - Louis Armstrong Eternity Band: King Louis in the 20s

12:00 am - Midnight Speakeasy: Dennis Lichtman & Mona's Hottet Prohibition Dance Party and Jam with Burlesque, vintage vaudevile and special guests!

Come celebrate the 100th birthday of the first jazz record ever made New-York Hot Jazz Festival-style. Four evenings of frolicking fun through the jazz age from the teens, through the roaring 20's and to the end of the prohibition. In February of 1917 history was made as the Original Dixieland Jazz Band cut the first ever jazz record - Livery Stable Blues. 100 years later the musical revolution comes the full circle as the hot jazz is conquering the world once again. Let the party roll!

For the first party night the mighty Louis Armstrong Eternity Band will bring you King Louis In The 20's. Having been born in 1901 Louis Armstrong spent his 20's in 1920's revolutionazing early jazz. His Hot Fives and Hot Seven records released during those years are still among the most exhilirating music ever recorded. David Ostwald and his all-star Louis Armstrong Eternity Band will brign those masterpieces to life and have you jumping for joy.

Following the Etrnity Band we will enter Midnight Speakeasy for a full blown party with Dannis Lichtman's Hottet. Sip prohibition era cocktails and dance your night away with the founder of Mona's legendary jam sessions featuring special guests joining in for hot jazz jam, classic burlesque, star dancers and more!
