BLACKOUT Spring Showcase

Since entering the a cappella scene in June 2012, BLACKOUT has grown into a group that is larger than the sum of its parts.
We have had the honor and privilege of performing for organizations such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and the Super Bowl Host Committee; we've joined fellow members of our community on stages across the city and our studio recordings have been selected for professional a cappella compilation albums. BLACKOUT has performed at a variety of venues throughout New York City including The Highline Ballroom, The Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery and Rockwood Music Hall. BLACKOUT has been featured in a number of publications such as BuzzFeed, were recently named one of the best groups in New York City by CBS News, and even performed on NBC's The Today Show earlier this year.

Founded in 2011 by Laura Torma and Becky Froman, The Workshop will be opening the evening. The Workshop is a semi-professional co-ed a cappella group based in New York City. They perform popular music that spans a wide range of genres, from top 40 to country to indie, hip hop, and soul. Fans and supporters can see them perform at venues throughout the NYC area.
