Javiera Mena @ 10PM

Since the release of her first album ‘Esquemas juveniles’ (Youth Schemes) in 2006, Javiera Mena burst onto the musical scene in 2006 and got the attention of listeners hungry for new music options. Revolutionary and transgressor in both her sound and offering a new aesthetic, the singer, songwriter and producer has continued with a consolidated career without space-time limits. Since her debut, she has released four albums that have been considered by the press and music-lovers like essential gems of electro pop music. Also, she has been recognized with international awards, as Latin Grammy nomination for ‘Otra Era’.

After ‘Esquemas juveniles’ the singer was discovered internationally with Mena’ (2010), an album full of hits like the remarkable Luz de piedra de luna (Light of Moon Stone) and Hasta la verdad (Until the truth). Since then, Javiera Mena became an essential name at festivals and clubs in Spain, Mexico, USA and, of course, her home country, Chile. However, these are only some of the countries that have surrendered to her songs and extravagant productions of her live shows.

Already a cult artist, Javiera Mena offered to her public in 2013 ‘Primeras composiciones 2000-2003’ (First compositions 2000-2003), a sort of album with songs of her professional beginning, full of warmth and spontaneity. Swapping synthesizers for strings allowed the public to discover another side of the songwriter.

Javiera released in 2013 the single “Espada” (Sword), a song that showed that her natural habitat is the dance floor. The single was included in her fourth album Otra Era (2014) (Another Era). A group of songs in which pleasure, hedonism, love, sex and the cosmos for whom Javiera has also built a retro-futurist world visually and musically. An album that creates a whole and gets its own life whether listened in private or with a crowd.

Buyepongo @ 12 Midnight

Based in Los Angeles, but with deep roots in South and Central America, Buyepongo draw heavily from pan-Latin music culture taking their cues from traditional "roots" music. Influenced by the traditional  sounds of Colombia, Haiti, Belize, Honduras and the Dominican Republic their  arrangements seamlessly fuse merengue, punta and cumbia.

Growing up as young Latinos in Southern California, Buyepongo were also exposed to music of the time. From teenage punk rock angst to sample driven underground hip hop, from classic reggae to jazz and funk. Their name, which translates roughly as “to cause a ruckus,” is a nod to the Wu Tang Clan track, “Bring da Ruckus” one of their sonic inspirations.
