The Current

We were founded in January 2011 by a group of post-grads who couldn't live without their collegiate a cappella fix. Since then, we've grown to a close-knit group, 15 members strong. Our rep is as diverse as our day jobs, which range from advertising mavens to law students to nutritionists, but our sound always comes back to our never-ending love for pop music (and mashups...always mashups). We've performed sold-out shows to top NYC venues, but our favorite places to sing are right in our backyard—you might stumble upon us busking in Washington Square Park or Times Square on any given New York evening.

The Gold Dynamic

The Gold Dynamic is a post-collegiate acappella group. We are New Jersey's top-ranked Contemporary A Cappella League groups and we perform in the New Jersey and New York areas. Starting out in early 2017 as a few friends from college, the group has now flourished as a musical powerhouse singing a wide variety of popular music from classics to today's hits

Hudson Sound

We're Hudson Sound, a 20s and 30s a cappella group for young professionals founded at the JCC Manhattan in 2015. After singing at gigs and fundraisers around the city, we are super excited to be singing with The Current!! Besides singing, we're big fans of Taco Tuesdays, smoked meats by our vice president and former The Current member Christian Rodriguez, cheap drinks, cheese, and Beyonce. Come say hi!

Our show will be hosted by comedian Michael Thomas Geary

Michael Thomas Geary was born and raised in Granada Hills, California. The Valley. For those of you who don't know; this is the birthplace of video pornography.  You probably don't know because you have the internet and have no use for VHS. Michael moved to NYC two years ago to pursue his dream of standup comedy when his therapist told him that it was his dream.  He is honored to perform with The Current.
