7:30-8:10 Sophie De Quay & The Waveguards

Sophie de Quay & The WaveGuards was founded in Switzerland in 2016 by Sophie Loretan, Simon Jaccard and Tim Verdesca. The pop electro trio (keyboard, bass, looper, voices) released their first EP in 2017 then their first album "Drop The Mask" in 2018 that took them on tour on many Swiss and international scenes : such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and scenes in France, Belgium, Romania, Spain and New York City (Bowery Electric, Pianos, Rockwood Music Hall & art gallery in Soho where they performed for a vernissage) where Sophie use to live for 4 years.
Sophie was also invited to sing a duet with the famous artist Patrick Bruel on the stage of the Caribana Festival. Since the released of their album in March 2018, they performed more than 50 times.
Their music, a chemistry of pop, electro and acoustic, creates an intimist world which enhances Sophie’s powerful, yet moving and sensual voice. Her warm timbre reminds the great Adele or the young Marina Kaye. The band finds its inspiration in the new British and American scenes, such as Jack Garratt, Nao, 21 Pilots, Odesza, but one can also find influences from Muse and French artists such as Christine and the Queens or Stromae, with whom they share his official sound engineer, Lionel Capouillez.
Passionate they are constantly working on new creative projects.

8:30-9:10  - The Last Moan

The Last Moan is an electric scream, soothing souls and mending hearts. After releasing an eponymous EP in 2015, the power-duo now unleashes their debut album, « Zig Zag Dream », setting out into broiling seas of saturated guitars, riveting bluesy rock ’n’ roll rooted in American folk music.

The band was formed in 2014 and consists of Igor (songwriter, guitar, vocals) and Gaetan (Drums, vocals). Amidst the Swiss Alps, the two comely young men met in school and quickly discovered a shared passion, rock and blues. Before long The Last Moan let out their first cry as Igor’s guitars resonated in soulful symbiosis with Gaetan’s drums. Both fervent and sincere, the duo spent the following year on the Swiss roads, perfecting their heated stage performance at famous venues, leaving enthusiastic crowds in their wake.

In Zig Zag Dream (release on Cold Smoke Records), the listener embarks on a journey through country ballads, rousing shamanic beats, over lands where Fuzz reigns supreme. The Last Moan cruises aboard a Ford Thunderburd through space- time, dreaming up bewitching melodies that carry audiences to the outmost reaches of the shadowy Mississippi banks.

9:30-10:10 - Stevans

In 3 albums, european based rock band STEVANS, has succeeded in making its mark on the music scene.
Opening for prestigious groups like Coldplay, Deep Purple, and Snow Patrol, STEVANS has performed around the world on some of the most reputable stages and festivals in London, New York, Paris, Vietnam, and Lisbon, including the Paleo Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival.

French-Swiss front man Yvan Franel and lead guitarist Yann Secrest work together to create STEVANS' unique sound where post-modern disenchantment takes on the hue of a new transparent hedonism - where introspection won't keep you from dancing. “We're dancing, but we're not fooled.”
STEVANS is a pastiche of vibrant echoes of the eighties where funky beats, sweet melodies, snippets of British pop and electronic sounds converge.

10:30-11:10 - Eliane Amherd

Singer and guitarist Eliane Amherd is a true cosmopolitan artist: Born in Switzerland, she lives in New York, and it is that city’s savvy multicultural energy that most influences her original musicA lifetime of musical travel, study and collaboration brings out the essence of her unique sound: jazzy, groovy and rooted in African, Brazilian and Latin music. Inventive, enchanted yet earthy.

A graduate of The New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music, Amherd has performed in New York’s premiere clubs like SOB’s, Subrosa, BAM, Blue Note, to name a few. As an in-demand jazz, Brazilian and Latin interpreter, she has performed at a staggering variety of international festivals all over the world. She composed, arranged and produced her albums “Skylines” and “Now and from Now on” which continue to receive great press reviews and have topped the play lists of several US Radio Stations. As well as the Swiss Miss Sampler “heimweh”, featuring renown Swiss artists. This successful recording has earned her many interviews on Switzerland’s radio and TV stations. In 2013 she was a candidate of the first edition of "the Voice of Switzerland”. She plays guitar in various NYC bands like the all female Afro Latin Funk ensemble “Dawn Drake & Zapote” and the Brazilian psychedelic 70ties Rock group "As Lolas”. In her hometown Brig she is the director of the annual "frauenstimmen Festival” featuring female acts and in 2015 she was also the musical director of the “OrchEXtra Gottardo" at the Expo Milano, Italy.

Her fluid, harmonically rich guitar playing touches every track on her latest album Skylines with color and feel. As a singer, she has collaborated with greats such as Randy Brecker, Marcus Strickland and Bill Ware. Her dexterity is evident, but she prefers understatement, tone, and wit - honoring the song, whether it is hers or another’s
